This month, our Tour of Italy takes you north to the mountain vineyards of Alto Adige (South Tyrol), where alpine air meets Italian charm and aperitivo hour is light, fresh, and effortlessly elegant.

Hugo Spritz – $14.50

Hailing from Alto Adige (South Tyrol), near the Austrian border, the Hugo Spritz is a modern Italian favourite. Created between 2005–2010, it’s much newer than classics like the Negroni or Americano and was designed as a bright, floral alternative to the Aperol Spritz.

Often described as the Italian taste of spring in a glass, this cocktail is crisp, bubbly, and wonderfully refreshing.

Delicate floral notes, light citrus, and gentle sweetness come together for a clean, slightly sweet finish that awakens the palate and pairs beautifully with food.

Pairs well with Nonna’s Seafood Pasta, fresh cheeses and cheese boards, antipasti for two, Brussels sprouts, or fried artichoke hearts.
